Chemical processing of raw linter in cooking machines

3 Stage of production

During chemical treatment the following operations are carried out:

  • cooking with alkali under pressure;
  • washing and cooling;
  • bleaching with solutions containing hydrogen
  • peroxide; - washing with water;
  • acidification with sulfu ic acid;
  • washing with water.

After chemical treatment, the sealing cylinders are removed from the cookers. Puri ed raw cellulose is ejected from the cylinders and enters the pulpers. In the pulpers it is loosened with clean water, the bleached pulp is re-homogenized and dewatered on a belt sieve. The pulp is then diluted with demineralized water and passed through a disc mill to re-shorten the fibe s. The puri ed linter mass enters the production stage of sheets, rolls or loose mass.

Pre-cleaning of cotton linters

With the help of a transport fan, the lint is fed into the separator, where the lint transported is pneumatically separated from the air and washed off with water.

Filling the sealing cylinders and the pressing of raw linters

For further chemical processing, the linter is loaded into perforated stainless steel cylinders and compacted into compact blocks

Dehydration of cleaned linters, drying, baling and packaging

The bleached linter suspension obtained in thepuri cation plant is thickened, then sent to a mass pool, from which it is transported to the inlet box of a double-grid belt press
